24 of these offices will be shifting to Suvarna Vidhan Soudha

 

Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on June 3 had directed authorities to identify state level government offices to be shifted from the city to Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi within a month and execute it, with an aim to address the regional imbalance.

And on June 30 a list of 24 such offices will now be shifted to the Suvarna Vidhan Soudha as per the new order.

The government has ordered the relocation of a total of offices, including the office of the Department of Tourism, senior land science cooperatives auditing, handloom textiles, the office of the Joint Director, various corporations and the Dharwad division office of the Karnataka Irrigation Corporation.

It has been long-standing demand of the people of north Karnataka to shift some government offices to Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi.

Cops arrest one who robbed jewelry shop at gunpoint

 

On 27-6-2020 a man entered a jewelry shops and asked to show some Gold chains. Once the shop owner displayed the same on the table a person took away all the chains showing a gun and fled away on his bike.

The incident was reported from Samrudhi jewelers Hindalga Road and the police have nabbed the culprit Vaibhav Patil (29) a resident of Majagaon.

The jeweler had made a complaint in this regard and the police acted and arrested the culprit.

Dr K Thiyagarajan IPS takes charge as COP Belagavi

 

Belagavi city has got itself a direct IPS officer as the Commissioner of Police Belagavi City, namely Dr. K Thiyagarajan.

B.S. Lokesh Kumar, who was serving as Belagavi Police Commissioner, has been transferred and posted as DIGP, ISD (Internal Security Division).

Dr K Thiyagarajan was serving as DIG, CID, Economic Offences Wing, Bengaluru.

Thiyagarajan, a 2006 batch IPS officer and hails from Tamil Nadu and was born in the year 1976 and holds a degree as BVSC.

Travel to Karnataka: No Q for Business travelers if stay is less than 48 hours

 

Inter-State Travellers Guidelines (Order dated 26.06.2020)

Business Traveller/Short time visitors from other State

show confirmed return flight/train ticket which should not be more than 7 days later from the date of arrival. If coming by road, provide the address proof of the person you are intended to meet.

If business visitors coming for a short duration of 48 hrs( counted from arrival time) he/she is Exempted from the Covid19 test & quarantine.

If staying for more than 48 hrs and less than 7 days, then the Covid19 test is done, a swab will be drawn immediately on arrival, a person needs to wait in IQ, after getting negative report such person can complete his work and go back.

If he/she is coming with a covid19 negative report, from ICMR approved lab, which is not more than 2 days old, such person is exempted from testing & quarantine.

Quarantine Norms

Symptomatic on Arrival (Any State)

  • 7 Days of Hospital isolation at Covid Care Centre
  • Testing Immediately on arrival
  • If positive, Shift to dedicated to Covid Hospital
  • If negative, no further test required

Asymptomatic on Arrival

Returnees from Maharastra 7 Days IQ followed by 7 days HQ

(Boarding flight/Train from MH will be considered for above quarantine rules)

  • Testing only if develops symptoms
  • Special Category asymptomatic will be sent to HQ with one attendant, testing once between 5th Be 7th Day of arrival (Special category: Pregnant Women/Children aged 10 and below/elderly aged 60 and above/Serious illness/Death in the family/Human Distress)
  • Covid19 Negative test certificate from ICMR approved lab and latest by 2 days will be exempted from IQ and referred to 14 days HQ

Returnees from any other States other than MI-I

  • 14 days of HQ
  • Test if symptoms develop during HQ

Next 4 Sundays Complete Lock down: Night curfew from 8 PM to 5 AM from Tomorrow

 

The Karnataka state government has issued guidelines to stop the spreading of COVID cases in Karnataka.

A lockdown will be imposed statewide every Sunday with effect from July 5 for the next 4 Sundays up to 02/08/2020. The only exceptions to the Sunday ban will be essential services and supplies.

Starting June 29, night curfew will run from 8 pm to 5 am, as to the current 9 pm to 5 am. Besides, all government offices shall remain closed on all Saturdays with effect from July 10.

Youth from Sadashiv Nagar shifted to BIMS COVID ward: Official announcement awaited

 

A youth in his early twenties has been shifted to BIMS COVID ward as sources say he has tested positive. However the official announcement is awaited in the evening health bulletin,

The youth had been to Bengaluru to undertake his KSPC coaching but he was returned from there as they asked a COVID test to be done.

Today,  as per sources he has been shifted to BIMS COVID ward as his samples tested positive.

All inmates of his home have been now quarantined and also his neighbors.

The health department has already commenced surveying the homes in the 100 meter perimeter so as to ascertain the spread if any.

Primary and secondary contacts are also being traced.

The area is been sanitized as of now.

Institutional quarantine now for returnees from Maharashtra only

 

The state government has amended its order and now only those who come from Maharashtra will have to undergo 7 days of Institutional quarantine plus 7 days of Home quarantine.

The 11 day SOP which made a 3 day IQ for Delhi and Tamil Nadu has been removed.

The new order issued on June 26, stipulates that people coming from all other states, including Delhi and Tamil Nadu shall only be placed in 14 days of home quarantine.

All other conditions specified in the previous order, dated June 15, continue to be in force until further orders which include special quarantine norms for business travelers, transit travelers, and special category travelers and mandatory registration on the Seva Sindhu portal.
Karnataka saw its single-day highest spike in CVOID cases with over 900 cases in a day on Saturday.

Sunday Lockdown from July 5: Night Curfew from June 29

 

Karnataka government has decided for a weekend lockdown from July 5th. Sunday would be a complete lockdown for the entire state.

From June 29th, 8 PM to 5 AM would be the curfew time.

Government offices to be shut on Saturdays and Sundays, henceforth.

Starting from July 5, every Sunday, completely lockdown. State government employees will work only five days. Starting from June 28, night curfew – 8 pm to 5 am everyday. Decision done based on experts committee report

Shree Nagar, Yellur Cross Vadgaon Sealed down after COVID case

 

Belagavi saw its first SARI case with 30-year female testing positive for COVID-19 on 26-06-2020.

After this the area has been sealed down to contain the spread if any.

In Vadgaon as well Fule Galli – Yellur cross has been sealed down as an 8-year-old was to be COVID positive a couple of days ago.

The family had returned from Maharashtra and were home quarantined in an apartment, and currently only the 8-year old tested positive.

However, no official announcement as Containment zones has been made.

Severe acute respiratory infections (SARI): An acute respiratory infection with a history of fever or measured fever of ≥ 38° C and cough with onset within the last 7 days and requires overnight hospitalization.

Symptoms of SARI are similar to those of Covid-19. Doctors insist that most of the patients in Karnataka with symptoms of SARI are secondary contacts of an index patient.
